Bella has a very pale complexion that almost matches Edward's pale vampire one. She has long dark brown hair that has a slight wave to it. Her chocolate brown eyes are a unique color and her eyes are large and widely spaced. Bella's lips are full for her jaw line. She has a small crescent-shaped scar on her arm from when James bit her. Her scar is colder than the rest of her body and it shines when exposed to sunlight. She doesn't think that she is that beautiful though and doesn't understand why most of the guys seem attracted to her.

Bella is more of a tomb boy than a girly girl that likes to dress up in girly clothes with makeup. She prefers comfortable clothes like shirts, jeans and sneakers. Her hair is usually hanging loose or pulled back into a basic ponytail. When she does have to dress up, she will but makes it known that she doesn't like the idea of doing it. .

-loyalty: Bella's strong sense of loyalty keeps her ties strong and makes everyone feel relatively comfortable with her. This also makes teamwork easier for her.
-strong will: When Bella gets set in her convictions, she doesn't change them. She'll do anything to prove a point, and more often than not, it works out for her. She also knows what she wants, which is something that helps her make decisions in life easily
-mind shield: Although Bella is not a vampire, Bella has the ability to shield off her mind from any vampire's power. Though its automatic and Bella has no control over it.

CLUMSY
Bella is known to be extremely clumsy, constantly dropping and tripping over things. She even trips over her own two feet when she's not careful. Because of her clumsiness people see her as very fragile.

CONSERVATIVE
Bella has a conservative personality. She doesn't like big groups and is quiet and shy while around a bunch of people. She hates being the center of attention as well.

HORRIBLE LIAR
Lying is a complicated task for Bella. She may think she has you believing but everyone can see through the lies. The only person she can fool is Charlie but everyone else knows her all too well to believe her lies.

PERSISTENT
Bella has a hard time giving up things, especially when it comes to something that she wants, or seek answers to. She will keep asking till she is told what is wrong. And don't even try to change her mind, itll only make her want what she wants even more.

CARING
Bella is a very caring person. She doesn't like the though of hurting anyones feelings. She cares very much for Jacob but knows her heart is with Edward. It was hard for her to tell Jacob she picked Edward over him.


THE BACKGROUND

Bella was born in Forks, Washington in September of 1987, she was everything that Charlie and Renee could have hoped for in a daughter when she was born. Bella and her parents lived contently in Forks, until Bella was three and Renee couldn’t take it anymore and asked Charlie for a divorce and told him that she didn’t want to be stuck in Forks, Washington for the rest of her life. Bella, being three, was upset by what her mother did and felt that Renee was being unfair to her at such a young age. Bella and Renee moved to Phoenix, Arizona. Bella would spend every summer in Forks, Washington with her dad. When she was in Forks she’d hang out with Jacob, and his sisters Rebecca and Rachel while Charlie and Billy Black would watch games on the tv. Or they would go fishing with the Clearwater family. While Bella was still young she dealt with her mom’s different phases in things from everything from Yoga to Religion to half started books for book club and so many other activities. Bella felt more like an adult and felt that Renee was Bella's child since she was always taking care of her. Bella was in dance class and piano for a while until she’d talked her mom out of having her in dance and piano.

Bella’s mom also bought her fish, which Bella claims to have killed, three in a row before her mom stopped buying them. Bella was fourteen when she put her foot down with Charlie and convinced him to vacation with her for two weeks in California instead of going to Forks for the summer. Bella started high school shortly after that and was enjoying it since she only needed two years of gym in her high school in Phoenix. Bella’s mom Renee fell in love with Phil Dwyer, a minor league baseball player. Bella liked Phil and all and when her mom got married to him when she was sixteen she could see that her mom was happy with the much younger man, and he did love her and Renee. Bella also felt it was good thing, she was hoping her mother would grow out of phase of always changing and stick with something longer than a few days now that she was married to Phil. Bella soon found that her mom wanted to travel with Phil and for awhile she did and let Bella stay in Phoenix but as the trips got longer Renee had to stay behind more and more.

That was when Bella made the choice at seventeen to go live with her father, charlie, in Forks, Washington. When Bella got to Forks she was sure it was going to be miserable. But Charlie had bought her a truck from Billy Black which made her time in Forks start to look up for Bella. Bella loved her "new" red truck even though it made loud noises sometimes, was a bit hard to start up, only had one radio station, and couldn't go any faster than 60MPH. Bella started up high school at Forks High where she met a few friends. She soon met and fell in love with Edward Cullen. Bella was completely and irrevocably in love with him.

After Edward leaves Bella after the accident with Jasper trying to attack her after she cut her finger while opening a present at her birthday party, she gets into a zombie-like state for months. She does very little to remain alive subsequent to Edward leaving with the rest of the Cullen family. Bella strays away from her friends, ignoring them for the most part, not joining in on the activities they like to do, like going to the movies. In January she shows activity after Charlie tries to send her back with Renee to Jacksonville. Bella goes to the movies and sees these bikers. As she walks towards then she hears Edward, telling her to stop and to not do it. She becomes good friends with Jacob Black, partially to appease Charlie. Bella becomes interested in extreme sports and does some very dangerous things like riding motorcycles and cliff diving, when she discovers these dangerous actions cause her to hear Edward's voice in her head cautioning her to be more careful. The sound of his voice is so alluring to Bella she continues to make unsafe choices over and over again just to hear Edward's voice. Jacob helps Bella gradually recover from her depression over Edward leaving. Jacob starts to fall in love with Bella, but she continues to love Edward and won't let herself love Jacob as more than a friend.

Ultimately, these life-threatening decisions lead to a misunderstanding causing Edward to believe Bella is now dead and Alice, who arrives to comfort the grieving Charlie, find Bella alive and tells Bella what happened. Bella ends up racing to Volterra, Italy to attempt to save Edward's life since he is about to expose the secret of the existence of vampires, knowing the vampire royalty, the Volturi, will kill him for this action. Essentially, Edward believes this suicidal action will allow him to join Bella in the after-life, or so he hopes, but either way he has no intention of remaining alive if Bella is dead. Bella rushes threw Volterra, Italy's crowd trying to rush over to him before he can expose himself for the vampire that he is. Bella rushes to Edward right as he stops out into the sunlight, shielding him from the light, trying to get him to go back inside. He finally does. After a few words from the Volturi, it was agreed that Bella would be changed soon for Alice has seen it in a vision.

After saving Edward, they all return home and Edward tells Bella that he has always loved her and only left Forks to protect her.She forgives him, and the Cullens vote in favor of Bella being transformed into a vampire, to Edward's dismay. However, Edward gives Bella a choice: either she lets Carlisle change her after her graduation, or, if Bella agrees to marry him, he will change her himself.

Bella has been thinking about Edward a lot, she missed him, she missed him after she left all those years ago. Now that Bella was older she regrets her choice, the way she left, how she left, everything. It was always should-of to Bella. She should-of done this and she should-of done that. But she didn't, she was immature at the time, and Rosalie telling her Edward didn't love her tore her up. She couldn't wrap her mind around it, any of it. Even now what Rosalie said didn't make sense to her. Yes Edward seemed to be pulling away from her at that time but that didn't mean he didn't love, did it? To be honest, the whole thing was fucked up. Over the years Bella thought about calling him, she would dial his phone number but never had the courage to hit talk. What would she say to him anyway? Nothing sounded right to her. What do you say to someone you just upped and left? How do you fix it and make it ok again? Bella knew better though, things would never be the same. Plus what if she called and he didn't answer, or worse, what if he did and he hated her? Bella couldn't put herself threw that. Not even the possibility of him saying he still loved her made her feel like she could call. After a few years of living with her mother, Bella got a phone call about her father, he had gotten injured and needed her help. Bella wasn't to worried about the Cullen's still being there, they probably left years ago, but Bella was in for a surprise when she realized they were still in town. Her heart broke when she heart Edward had vanished after she left. She dated Jacob but it wasn't for very long, he broke her in the end, left her for someone else. But in a way it didn't matter, Jacob wasn't Edward, she could never feel the way she felt for Edward with Jacob. In the end it was for the best and Bella knew that, though she wasn't sure if she could ever look at Jacob the same way again.
Bella went to bed later than normal, she had been up thinking about her life, there was still no sign of Edward and Bella was starting to think he would never return. Maybe it was time to move on for real. Try to be normal and life a human life. But her heart wanted Edward, she wanted to be with him, be with him forever. She loved him more than anything, than anyone. She knew she would never and could never love someone the way she loved Edward. They just fit so well together. When Bella feel asleep, dreams of Edward flooded her. How they meet, being in the meadow, him saving her countless times. She finally dreamed of her leaving, how she felt, though in her dream she saw Edward at the airport, she tried to go up to him, to apologize for leaving but every step towards him he took one away, she started running towards him and he vanished, but she keep running screaming his name. Bella was whimpering and moving in her sleep. All of a sudden Bella shot up from her bed in a cold sweat, panting. She took a few deep breaths the looked around her room. She felt like she could breath. "It was only a dream." She told herself calmly. She ran her fingers nervously threw her hair. This wasn't the first time Bella had that dream, she had a lot lately and she couldn't figure out why. Maybe it was because she didn't have much to keep her mind ocupied now but either way the dream sucked and she always woke up the same way. After calming down Bella looked around her room and froze as she looked at her window. Bella could see the outline of a person, whoever it was, was very still. Her heart was racing now. "Edward." She said his name so softly, she wasn't even sure if she said it. Could it be him? She didn't know anyone else that would just sit outside her window, except for Jacob, but Bella couldn't even remember the last time they talked, in fact they hadn't talked since their break up. Bella slowly removed the covers from her body and got out of bed. She walked towards the window, her breathing was getting heavier. She was scared, what if it was Edward, what could he want? Did he come back in town and hear she was back at her fathers and come to talk or yell? Her hand was shaking as she slowly brought it up to the curtain. Bella moved the curtain quickly and jumped back, covering her mouth to stop her from screaming out. There he was, Edward was sitting on the tree, his hand up against the glass of the window. "Edward.." She lightly breathed out. She slowly walked towards the window, she was nervous and scared. She pushed the window up to allow him to enter. She didn't say anything to him, she didn't know what to say, instead she just stood there and waited for him to speak first.
